How should I start?

The best way at the beginning is to breathe consciously. You can’t even imagine how good your is breath for your calmness. And that you really don’t pay attention to that during the day. To one of the most potent things that actually keep you alive. Try to sit down in a quiet place. You can sit in a lotus position from yoga with your legs crossed, or you can use a chair just keep your feet on the ground. Straighten your back, relax the shoulders and the neck. Close your eyes and breathe. Inhale with the nose and exhale deeply with the mouth. Do it slowly. Focus on the breathing, on the movements of your chest and on the air flowing through your lungs.

Try to keep your mind free. Don’t think. If you are focused on your breath, your mind will stay calm. Your mind is not your lord. Remember that. It’s repeatedly thinking about many things, sometimes even at the same time. Still, one of the meditation techniques says that you are not your mind. You can observe it, but it shouldn’t affect your life in any aspect. It’s hard to get that at the beginning, don’t worry. If you continue with different meditation techniques, you will succeed, and you will reset your mindset one day.

What if I can’t stand sitting in one position for a long time?

It is widespread that it’s hard at the beginning. In literature, you can find many solutions. One of them is to keep focusing on the flame of the candle. It’s the best technique actually for people with insomnia. You should practice that before sleeping.

Sit down on the floor or on your favourite chair, take the candle and observe the flame. Still, be focused on breathing, inhales and deep exhales. Imagine that you are getting rid of the problems during the exhales that this evil energy is flowing off your body. Do the opposite during inhaling. Imagine that you are taking good energy from the universe to use it the next day, to make everything work as you wish.

If you prefer to sing, use mantras. Many of them have a lot of benefits to our body’s. You can use one named Aad Guray Nameh, which is a protection and projection mantra. You can easily find the lyrics and the melody on the internet. And again, sit down, listen to the music and sing, focusing on the breathing. Try also Ra Ma Da Sa mantra, which is supposed to be a healing one.
